On each day of this culinary tour, explore Italy's different regions and the flavor profiles, staple ingredients, and food customs that distinguish each one. Under the expert guidance of a CIA chef instructor, you will: Practice essential kitchen skills such as mise en place, knife handling, and sanitation. Cook with indigenous ingredients and create specialties from across areas like Piemonte, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna, and more. Work with fresh Italian cheeses, prepare antipasti dishes, and learn to make handmade pizza dough. Explore the unique histories and culinary influences of each region. Learn to speak like a professional chef, using appropriate terminologies. What's included: All cooking ingredients, tools, and materials. A CIA uniform consisting of a chef's jacket and cap.
