About this event

November 14th: Preparing Your Plants for Winter–Indoors and Out

In looking at the calendar we realize that cooler weather is just around the corner. When that first freeze will occur is anybody’s guess but the more prepared your plants are, the better they will do through the winter. Our next Saturday Seminar will guide you through the steps to take to:

• Prepare houseplants that have spent the summer outside to come indoors

• Protect the root systems of perennials and tropicals

• Increase the cold tolerance of tender plants such as vegetables

• Determine what plants need to be covered on severely cold nights

The Seminar is free of charge and will begin at 9:30 am, RAIN OR SHINE!

The setting is casual so be sure to bring your own lawn chairs!

We look forward to seeing you!

NOTE: On Seminar Saturdays from 9:00 until noon Shades of Green IS OPEN and we offer for sale our special organic fertilizers and other bagged goods as well as pest control products, pots, and gifts.
