About this event

❄️Winter Solstice Themed!❄️

📘 Bring a wrapped book to exchange (see below for details)! Come sip on hot cocoa/cider, eat cookies, or work on a craft, all while listening to stories about the Winter Solstice. We'll be having an entertaining white elephant game at the end, for those who want to participate. This will be a fun time to celebrate the changing of the season with friends!

These optional activities for all ages from kids to adults!

Surprise Book Swap

How It Works:

• Pick a book: Find a new or gently used book you love and want to share.

• Wrap it up: Wrap the book in brown paper, wrapping paper, or a paper gift bag so the cover is completely hidden.

• Write the clues: On the front of the wrapping paper, fill out these hints:

4. Bring a book, take a book: When you arrive, place your wrapped masterpiece on the swap table. If you brought a book to share, you get to browse the mystery clues and pick a brand-new wrapped book to take home and unwrap!

Thrift White Elephant Gift Exchange

• Pick a silly item. This can be from home or a thrift store (under $5 please) the goofier the better! Some examples I’ve seen: a plastic banana slicer, a real estate promo mug, a neon flamingo missing a leg, a random family reunion t-shirt…..etc!

• Wrap it up or throw it in a bag!

• Exchange! We’ll sit in a circle to unwrap, steal, and laugh over all of the bizarre items we were able to find!
