If you missed it: Victor Wembanyama scored a career-high 52 points and grabbed 24 rebounds Wednesday night as the Spurs beat the Mavericks at Frost Bank Center. Dallas rallied from 19 down, but Kyrie Irving missed a 15-foot turnaround jumper with 2.5 seconds left.
Wembanyama joined Wilt Chamberlain and Bob McAdoo as the only players in NBA history with a 50-20-5 game, according to Basketball Reference. He said he played sick and rolled his ankle. Teammate Dylan Harper had a take.
“He’s Superman. He rolls an ankle and pops right up and acts like nothing happened.”
