Elections

Bexar County's results aren't official yet: election officials must still process late-arriving mail ballots, provisional ballots and mail ballots with defects that voters were allowed to correct. For some domestic mail ballots, the deadline was 5 p.m. Wednesday, and they may be counted if they were properly postmarked or received a carrier receipt mark by 7 p.m. on Election Day. KSAT

Broadway

A water main break shut down Broadway between Newell Avenue and Roy Smith Street for most of Wednesday. The pipe gave out around 4 a.m., and says it was put in the ground in 1887. It's a 24-inch cast iron main beneath the underpass, and no customers were without water service early Wednesday. KSATKABB

The Wrap

A very slow arrival is worth a cheer: the San Antonio Zoo announced the birth of a two-toed sloth, the first born there since 2010. The baby arrived Oct. 25 to parents Aluna and Sol, and it's staying behind the scenes for now while mom and baby bond. Take your time, little one.
