Fiber Artists of San Antonio 2026 Annual Juried Exhibition Viriditas

About this event

Fiber Artists of San Antonio (FASA) invites the public to experience Viriditas: Flourishing Life Energy, its 2026 Annual Juried Exhibition, on view November 9 through December 11, 2026, at the Semmes and Condos Student Gallery at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

Inspired by Hildegard von Bingen’s concept of viriditas, or the greening power of life, the exhibition explores the vitality and renewal of the natural world through contemporary fiber and textile art. Using diverse materials and techniques, participating artists interpret the cycles of growth, transformation, and flourishing, revealing new perspectives on our relationship with the natural world. Juried by internationally acclaimed fiber artist Jane Dunnewold, the exhibition showcases the work of over 50 artists from Texas and across the continental U.S.

The public is invited to the opening reception and awards presentation on Saturday, November 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. More than $1,200 in prizes will be awarded, recognizing outstanding work selected for the exhibition. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience the artwork, celebrate the participating artists, and discover the breadth of contemporary fiber art.

Admission to the exhibition and opening reception is free and open to the public.
